My biggest fear as a founder
As a founder, a HUGE fear has been holding me back…
But I refuse to let it control me any longer.
Rejection has been my biggest fear for as long as I remember. And it's held me back from:
→ Applying for my dream job
→ Starting a YouTube channel
→ Making friends with inspiring people
I almost dread to think how much further along in life I could have been if I didn't always worry about looking like an idiot. 😭
As a founder, it's scary to put your product out there, and potentially find out that people don't care about it as much as you do.
💥 But you know what's 1000 times worse than the fear of rejection?
↳ The fear of regret
I'm more terrified of never achieving anything great, than I ever could have hearing “No”.
And to create something great, you have to get through the rejections, setbacks and failures.
That means one thing:
I need to get through more of them, faster (and realise I won't die as a result 🤣)
💜 So if you see me being a little more bold in the future, just know it's because I'm done being scared.
And that I'm gonna REALLY go for it in building what I wanna build, even if I do look like an idiot in the process!
Because at the end of the day:
→ Being rejected is hard
→ Living with regrets is hard
→ But you can choose the hard you'd prefer
I know which one I prefer :)
