My least favourite productivity myth
👀 It's taken me 5 years to unlearn this productivity myth:
Increased effort = increased results 👇🏼
As entrepreneurs, we're obsesseddddd with our businesses.
But sometimes that mentality can cause more harm than good 😬
✨ It's taken me a while to learn that I don't need to justify my existence through productivity. ✨
I used to feel guilty for every 'unproductive' moment. I judged myself (and sometimes others 😕) for not making the most of available time.
watching netflix means I'm slacking.
taking a nap is an excuse to be lazy.
having social time is ok but not too much.
This view on things isn't just unsustainable - it's literally SO counterproductive!!
→ Our brains need downtime to process, create, innovate.
→ Our bodies need rest to avoid burnout.
→ Our minds need joy to stay motivated.
This mindset shift's made me a better founder, a more creative thinker and honestly, a happier human.
❤️ So let this be your reminder:
→ Productivity isn't a moral virtue
→ Your value isn't tied to your output
→ 'Being' is just as important as 'doing'
