I spent 3 weeks with a stranger from Linkedin

I've just spent 3 weeks co-working in Thailand with a stranger from LinkedIn.

The craziest part?

We documented the experience on YouTube. Link in the comments πŸ˜‰πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

πŸ‘€ Okay, shameless plug aside, here's the backstory:

6 months go I posted on LinkedIn for the first time EVER!

I announced I had quit my job and moved to Asia to work on my own projects.

And by complete chance, someone I didn't know commented Hannah del Herrera's name underneath the post - because she was in the same city as I was. 🀯

Since then we've probably talked almost every day 🀣

🏝️ And now we've just wrapped up a 3 week co-working holiday where we've:

πŸ’œ Made each other laugh a LOT,
πŸ’œ Given each other business advice,
πŸ’œ Supported each other emotionally,
πŸ’œ Helped each other improve in the gym,
πŸ’œ Hyped each other up to start new projects,
πŸ’œ Looked out for each other in new situations,
πŸ’œ Explored remote places in Thailand together.

This friendship is an amazing example of what can happen when you let yourself be open to new people, and really intentionally invest in friendships with the right people.

But they can only find you if you put yourself out there exactly as you are. 🫢🏻

Linkedin is not just a site for finding a job.

It's an amazing tool to meet likeminded people. So don't discount it for making real, genuine connections with people who inspire you.

You're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with, so make sure you choose people you push you to grow in all the best ways.
