On Consistency
9 out of 10 people struggle to be consistent.
But this mindset shift changed EVERYTHING for me.
β I stopped focusing on how often I did something.
β
And started focusing on how well I was doing it.
Here's an example:
3 Months ago I posted my first ever YouTube video.
And if you look at my channel, it's clear that I haven't posted to any sort of kept schedule.
That's because true consistency isn't about the calendar.
It's about creating your best work time and time again.
It's about being consistent in who you are.
It's about your π§ππ₯πͺπ©ππ©ππ€π£. π₯
Once I changed the bar to be set by the quality of my output, my priorities completely changed.
Now:
β I only post if I think it reflects my standards.
β I only post videos that are as good as the last.
β I only create content I actually think is valuable.
β
Reputation is about quality, not quantity.
At the end of the day, nobody will remember if you post a YouTube video a week late, or don't post your Monday post on Linkedin.
But they definitely will remember if your posts are a bit shit.
βͺ And on the flip side, they will definitely remember the impact of the post you just took that β¨little extra careβ¨ to write.
Obviously the ideal is to do both. And if you can get that, it's a recipe for success!
But when you're just starting out, quality is a clear winner in the priority list. β¨
So, all that to say I've just posted another Youtube video. The second in a week! π€ͺ
