On embracing small wins

One of my biggest goals this year was to FINALLY start the youtube channel I've been talking about for literally 10 years.

Currently:

🩷 I've posted 3 videos. 🩷 have 850 total channel views. 🩷 have 54 subscribers.

How f**king cool is that!?

Now, is this impressive? No. 🤣

But what IS impressive is that my youtube is probably the only creative project that I'm not trying to make "successful".

❌ I'm not trying to make it a career. ❌ I'm not trying to be "consistent" or optimise my content. ❌ I'm not treating it as a means of making money in the future.

This unique goal to NOT be successful is what's allowed me to detach and really see the idea of views and subscribers from a totally different perspective.

But this is what I meant when I said I "shouldn't be proud of this".

Waking up this morning and realising that my video had 200 views instead of 40 was actually sort of wild.

I'm embracing this time where such a 'small' number excites me!

Because if I keep posting, maybe one day it'll be 1k views that blows my mind, and in a few years I won't even bat an eye at 50k, because it will be normal.

So if you:

✅ just got your first client ✅ gained your first follower ✅ had your first job interview ✅ made your first internet dollar

Let yourself be excited as f**k, because it IS a big deal in your journey! ✨

Remember that this is only the beginning, and be present about the fact that one day you'll look back at this moment with fondness and nostalgia that such a small thing meant the world to you!

Celebrate the little wins while they matter. It's how you get to the big ones :)
