Founder Lessons
It's been a little over a week since I launched my project, Journee, to the world.
What's happened so far:
💜 Over 40 people have signed up 😱
💜 I've had a few emails with feedback and further ideas (if that was you, you're a real one 🙏🏼)
💜 Everyone’s been super kind and supportive 🥲🫶🏼
But there have also been some key lessons I've already learned.
I suppose that was to be expected, but it still got me thinking…
→ Active users said they loved the app, but they struggle to keep up the habit of journaling every day.
→ OG paper journalers who already have the habit might not be easily convinced to switch to digital.
→ Maybe the product needs to be more strongly positioned as helping you build the habit of journaling, not just enhance it.
✨Bonus lesson✨
→ The homepage was the first thing I designed to capture my idea of Journee. As the product has evolved and my ideal customer has become more clear, I think it might need an overhaul to speak to them more directly!
There's still a long way to go - and I definitely have my work cut out for me, but I reckon I'm up for the challenge.
