You never know who you're inspiring
Yesterday, I had one of the most surreal experiences of my life.
In a random cafe in Vietnam, a British lady came up to me and asked me "Are you Elizabeth?"
Me: “Hi! Yes that's me.”
Her: “I’m so sorry to walk up to you like this, but I just wanted to tell you that I watched your video about Da Nang and it made me and my husband want to move here!”
… Sorry, WHAT!? 😵
For context, a few months ago Martin Rue and I made a YouTube video about our life in Vietnam and why we chose to move here.
It was only ever a bit of fun, aimed at documenting our experiences here for family at home.
Usually, our videos get a few hundred views. For some reason, this one got 19K! 😱 That was a bit crazy in itself.
Literally a stranger in the middle of Vietnam AND we live 10 mins away from each other back in England! 🌍
Absolutely WILD. 🤯
So if you ever feel like you're shouting into the void with your message, KEEP GOING!
Create stuff that makes you happy. Put yourself out there.
